Musky Ever After leaps out from the pages of a love story between two villagers from rival
hamlets. To keep their secret, the two lovers meet at nightfall in a shadowy forest nestled
between the settlements. Each night without a sound, they move silently together through
the trees and at daybreak they slip back to their separate lives. When their love is
exposed, the girl’s family leaves to keep the lovers apart. She returns many years later,
searching the woods for her love. She wanders for days and just when she thinks her love is
lost, she catches a faint, delicate fragrance on the breeze. She knows that scent well
and follows, hope filling her heart. In the light that filters through the canopy, she sees her
love. With his hand outstretched he beckons her to join him in their forest once again.
